Out with old and in with the new

It is a very sad day around our house. ALL ABOUT JONAH has reached 100% capacity and will not allow us to post anymore. (It is kind of ironic to me that we reached full capacity on the last day of the year. I could not have planned that if I tried.) Blogger doesn't allow you to purchase more space so we have to say goodbye to this blog. I'm not deleting it because I love to go back and read about the last 17 months of Jonah's life. So, I debated as to whether I would just end the blog with the end of 2007 or create a new blog. But, blogging has become such a part of my life and such a wonderful way for our friends and family to stay connected. So, we have created a new blog that is up and running and just waiting on a few posts from the Glenn family. So, click on the link below and check us out when you have a chance....

Happy 2008 to all of you!

Rob & Mel

We went to the mall for lunch on our way out of Memphis. I had chicken nuggets from Wendy's and rice from the Chinese place. I immediately took the nuggets out of their box and put them beside me in the stroller. I wasn't sure how long we were staying so I felt like I needed to store some for later. I also emptied the crumbs on my head. Mommy was not very happy about that
We went to the Stride Rite store so I could have my foot measured. I'm a size 6 wide in case you are wondering. Rob and I played with the beads on the walls in there.

I walked away to stare at another little boy and Rob kept playing. How nice of him to pretend those beads were fun just for me!
My dad found a really cool playground inside the mall. He and Rob took me there while mom and Melanie made a couple of stops. I did not want to leave that place.
We sat down by the carousel before leaving so I could get a picture with Rob and Melanie. They were here this time last year and we took pictures then too! This is our 2nd year to spend the weekend before New Years Day with them. It just so happened this year was a bowl game for State. So, we all headed to Memphis for the game. Mommy says Melanie enjoyed the game more than anyone. (I am pretty sure she was kidding!)

The Liberty Bowl Parade

We made it Memphis just in time to get to Beale Street and find our spot for the Liberty Bowl Parade. It was not extremely cold outside but my parents felt the need to bundle me up as if it were a blizzard. I had on a onesie, a regular outfit with an attached hood, an MSU sweatsuit, a thug MSU hat and then a coat on over that. Daddy dressed me in the front seat of the car while mommy helped Hannah get bundled up.

I sat in the front seat waiting on everyone else to get their coats zipped up. I took advantage of the free time to practice ringing my cowbell.

Here I am with my family in Memphis before heading to the parade. Hannah took this picture for us. Pretty good, huh?
Mommy took a picture of Hannah with me and Daddy in the parking lot and then again at the end of Beale Street.

We found our spot about 1/2 way down the parade route. I was not too excited about this whole parade idea because all we did was stand around for almost an hour. I did a great job of entertaining all of the intoxicated people around me. They all thought I was really cute. I hope that wasn't the alcohol speaking for them.

Would you believe that with all the layers of clothing I was wearing that my mom forgot my gloves. My hands were freezing so she gave me hers. Um...they were pink! Yeah, I was wearing pink gloves. How embarrassing!!! I took them off EVERY chance I got.
When the parade started, I got on my daddy's shoulders so I could see better. It sure was a better view from up there. Hannah stood on the base of a light pole so she could see.

One of the boys next to us gave me everything he caught. I got beads, a football and a moon pie. Sometimes being cute really pays off.

Here comes Bully with the cheerleaders and band behind him. The crowd went wild when they saw them coming. It kind of hurt my ears.
I had a great time at the parade but I was VERY happy to be back in the car. I was OUT in minutes.

This made me laugh!

I was trying to take a picture of Jonah with Rob & Melanie before we left Memphis. I told them to just keep smiling and I'd take the picture when Jonah smiled. Well, Rob kept eating (as you can see) and Melanie followed my instructions perfectly. The only problem was the camera was on video mode rather than picture mode. The video is only 4 seconds or so but it totally cracked me up when I saw it. Check out that smile on Mel!

A gift from daddy!

My daddy gave my mommy a great gift for Christmas. He edited my birth video and reduced the 2 hours of raw footage down to a little less than 9 minutes. It made my mommy cry. Now she is after daddy to edit all of the videos he has taken of me the last 17 months.

My Playhouse

Pops & NeNe went in together with my parents to buy me this really fun Playhouse for outside. It has four different sides that represent part of a town. This side is the gas station, tire store and pay phone.

Here I am on the outside looking in to the school room.

This side is the ATM, Market and drive through window.
The front is a school and the back has a soccer goal, basketball goal and hockey points. It is going to be so much fun playing in this.

Christmas Morning

This is what my living room looked like on Christmas morning. Do you see the big red Santa bag with my name on it? Santa left that just for me? It is a bag just like he carries except I think this one came from Pottery Barn. Who knew Santa shopped at Pottery Barn? Mommy loved the bag but daddy thought it made walking into the living room anti-climatic. I guess we will see who wins that battle next year.

They came in to get me Christmas morning and I was wide awake just waiting on them. I didn't have the scared look like last year.

I walked right into the living room and headed towards my bag of gifts. Then, I turned right and headed straight for my Little People Nativity Set. Mommy said that I was just focusing on baby Jesus and the true meaning of Christmas. Daddy said the Pottery Barn bag threw me off.

Gigi and Daddy helped me open the bag and then I discovered my 3 gifts from Santa. I got the coolest things.
The first thing I saw was my Little Tikes slide. It can be used inside or outside. How great is that??
Then I discovered the Busy Ball Popper. What an incredible cool toy that was. I wish you could see how much fun this thing is.
My third gift was a keyboard/microphone/drumset with a stool. It was so much fun and I'm pretty sure I'm a great musician. Maybe I can play the offertory at church one day soon. If you read this, will you ask my daddy or Bro. Joshua to please give me a chance???
Max even got toys. I had fun taunting him with his toys. I took them from him and squeaked them just to get on his nerves. I wonder if that is why he is turning grey?
I got a nice beanbag with my name on it from my mom and dad. I was completely uninterested in it. What were they thinking? Maybe if they gave it to me when I didn't have so many cool toys then I would have been very interested in it. Oh well, it looks like mom enjoyed it.
I entertained my parents and Gigi with a few musical numbers until it was time for Breakfast Casserole.

Christmas Day in Jackson

When GiGi left, we headed to Jackson to have Christmas with my mom's family. Bayleigh, Ceci, Michaela, Allie and Hannah were all there. I'm the only boy on that side of the family so I am a little out numbered. It is okay though because I think they are all a lot of fun!

Sissy helped me eat my lunch. I ate a lot of yummy food.

I opened presents with everyone but was more excited about entertaining everyone than I was about opening gifts. Every now and then, they could convince me to stop and open a gift.
Then, I got very interested in MaMaw's gift bag. I went head first into the thing. That got a lot of laughs.

That is my cousin TJ in the background. He is a pharmacist in Missouri. He turned 30 years old this year and he was the last boy born into my mom's family until I came along. This was my first time to meet him. I think we could be very good friends if we lived closer to each other.

Even Max got a cute new outfit. I don't think he was as fond of it as everyone else was.

Hannah got a Hannah Montana wig and MiMi put it on me. I was SO not impressed with that thing.

P.S. Yes, I am wearing 3 different outfits in this post. I had to change clothes because I kept getting food on me. What do you expect? I am only 17 months old!!!!
